มันคือวันที่ 14 กุมภาพันธ์ วันวาเลนไทน์
เอาดอกกุหลาบมามอบให้พ่อ แต่พ่อกลับถูกพรากไป
รอยสักบนแขนฉันคือเครื่องรางที่คอยปัดเป่าความชั่วร้ายทั้งปวง
จะต้องสงบสติอารมณ์เข้าไว้ แต่ความเป็นจริงคือ พ่อจากผมไปแล้ว
และผมก็ไม่มีโอกาสได้ร้องเพลงเหล่านี้ให้พ่อได้ฟัง
พ่อครับ พ่อน่าจะได้ดูทัวร์ที่ผมไปนะ
ผมเห็นพ่อยืนอยู่ข้างๆกับแม่
ทั้งสองร้องเพลงตามไป ในอ้อมแขนของกันและกัน
แล้วก็มีวันที่ฉันสูญเสียความเชื่อมั่นไป
เพราะพ่อไม่ใช่แค่คนดี แต่เขาประเสริฐเลยล่ะ
พ่อจะบอกว่า “บทเพลง คือบ้านพักใจสำหรับความเจ็บปวดที่เผชิญมา”
และก็อธิบายเมื่อตอนฉันยังเด็ก พ่อบอกว่า
เอาความโกรธแค้นนั้น มาเขียนลงในหน้ากระดาษ
แล้วนำหน้ากระดาษนั้น ไปร้องเป็นเพลงบนเวที
เป่าหลังคาให้กระจุยไปเลย
ผมพยายามจะทำให้พ่อภูมิใจนะ
ทำทุกๆอย่างที่พ่อทำ
ผมหวังว่าพ่อจะอยู่กับพระเจ้าแล้วบอกท่านว่า “นั่นลูกผม !”

ว่าผมดื่มมากไป และสูบบุหรี่มากไป

พ่อเคนบอกว่า ไม่เห็นโลงศพไม่หลั่งน้ำตา
เหมือนอย่างที่ผมไม่เคยรู้จักรักแท้ จนกระทั่งคนที่ผมรักต้องจากไป
หากคุณซักคน เสียน้องสาวไป ก็มีใครบางคนเสียแม่ไปเหมือนกัน
และหากคุณเสียพ่อไป ก็จะมีใครซักคนที่เสียลูกชายไปเหมือนกัน
และทุกๆคนต่างคิดถึงผู้ที่จากไปทั้งนั้น
